Advice that some investors might not appreciate… Ripple’s technical director advises cryptocurrency holders to sell their assets, in order to reduce risk, as XRP is on the rise.
Ripple’s CTO gives advice to investors
David Schwartz made by of his opinion with a tweet. Ripple’s CTO explains that reducing risk is essential when it comes to investing in cryptocurrencies:
Schwartz advises those with at least half a year of salary in cryptocurrency or who are in high debt to re-evaluate their positioning.
The advice is not controversial per se, but it has been noticed as Ripple is currently engaged in a legal battle with the SEC. Some therefore interpret this message as a warning before a further fall in the price of XRP, even if the technical director of Ripple talks about all cryptocurrencies. Meanwhile, the messages from Ripple’s executives have already been scrutinized in court proceedings, so any hint of influence could add fuel to the fire.
